Endeavour Energy in New South Wales is seeking an Engineer - Future Energy Planning to shape one of the fastest‑growing electricity networks. You’ll work at the intersection of power systems engineering, network planning, forecasting and data, guiding the transition to a cleaner energy future.

The role encompasses system planning, modelling, and developing long‑term network plans with a emphasis on customer energy resources and hosting capacity.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering foundation with distribution network knowledge.
• Understanding of power systems and emerging energy technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with uncertainty evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Plan the distribution system and assess capability for rising demand and generation connections.
• Perform power system modelling, feasibility studies and scenario analyses.
• Identify technical solutions balancing network performance and customer needs.
• Develop integrated forecasts for demand, energy use and hosting capacity.
• Translate scenarios into actionable long‑term network plans.
• Collaborate with connections, design and delivery teams on network development.
• Engage with major energy users and stakeholders to inform proactive planning.
• Support core planning products and annual reviews communicating needs.
