Endeavour Energy is seeking an Engineer – Future Energy Planning in NSW to shape and forecast the network needs amid growing rooftop solar, EVs and storage. You will model distribution networks, perform feasibility analyses and develop scenario-based plans to inform investment decisions.
The role requires an electrical engineering foundation, strong analytical skills and experience with power systems and emerging energy technologies.
There's never been a better time to be in energy. And there's never been a more exciting time to be at Endeavour Energy.
More than 2.7 million people across New South Wales rely on us every day for the supply of safe and reliable power to their homes and businesses. We employ more than 1,700 people across our catchment, making us one of the largest employers in Sydney's Greater West.
To work with us in this role, you don't need to have any energy experience. We need talented people who are ready for challenge and growth and value a sense of care and belonging. Why? Because our vision is to lead the way with smarter energy solutions. Play your part in helping us to put the customer first and transition to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future for us all.
As the Engineer – Future Energy Planning, you'll help plan and shape one of the fastest-growing electricity networks in NSW at a time of significant change.
With increasing rooftop solar, electric vehicles, battery storage and electrification changing how customers use and generate energy, you'll work at the intersection of power systems engineering, network planning, forecasting and data. Your insights will help us understand what the network needs next and support the transition to a cleaner energy future across Western Sydney, the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Blue Mountains.
This is an opportunity to apply strong engineering and analytical skills to real-world network challenges while helping evolve the tools, models and processes that underpin the next generation of energy planning.
You'll contribute to system planning and connection assessments, modelling how changing demand and customer energy resources will impact our distribution and sub-transmission network.
You'll bring an electrical engineering foundation, strong analytical capability and an interest in solving complex problems within a rapidly changing energy system.
You don't need to tick every box. If you have strong engineering fundamentals, analytical curiosity and are motivated by the opportunity to help plan the future energy system, we encourage you to apply.
The energy transition is creating new challenges for electricity networks, from connecting growing volumes of renewable generation and batteries to preparing for EV charging and increasing electrification.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on those challenges directly, combining traditional power system engineering with data, digital tools and emerging technologies. You'll contribute to decisions that influence how the network evolves to meet changing customer needs and support NSW's transition to a cleaner energy future.
