Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is seeking a System Planning professional to help design and optimise Australia’s energy future. You will contribute to the Integrated System Plan and key planning documents, providing technical insights and robust analysis to support safe, reliable power systems.

The role involves stakeholder engagement, development of planning methodologies, and preparing comprehensive reports for executives and project teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mathematics, operations research, engineering or physics.
• Two years or more engineering-related work experience post-graduation.
• Ability to produce high-quality reports for external stakeholders and management.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical support on electricity planning and performance issues for safe operation of the power system.
• Contribute to planning documents such as Integrated System Plan and related reports.
• Support planning processes with procedures and methodologies for planning studies.
• Undertake stakeholder engagement for network planning matters.
• Prepare high-quality reports and information on planning issues for management and project teams.
• Develop knowledge of the electrical transmission network and NEM generation.
