Job summary

AGL Energy Limited is seeking an Energy Solutions Commercial Analyst for a 12-month max-term opportunity in Melbourne. You will support decarbonisation initiatives by building commercial models, analysing energy data and evaluating project economic viability across solar, batteries, electrification, EV charging and virtual power plants.

• Evaluate project performance, costs, margins and delivery outcomes, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support customer energy transition and net zero initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and optimisation of tools, processes and project outcomes.

About the role

Energy Solutions Commercial Analyst - 12 Month Max term opportunity

As a Commercial Analyst, you'll support the development of innovative decarbonisation solutions for AGL's business customers through financial, commercial and energy market modelling. Working across solutions including solar, batteries, electrification, EV charging and virtual power plants, you'll provide commercial insights, build business cases and help optimise project performance. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical problem-solver passionate about the energy transition and delivering meaningful outcomes for Australian businesses.

What you’ll be doing:

• Strong analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data insights.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
