Job summary

AGL Energy Limited is seeking a Business Analyst for a 6-month opportunity within the Product Operations team under the Electrification & Innovation portfolio. You will bridge Product, Technology and Operations, shaping requirements for EVs, batteries and energy solutions.

The role involves translating business needs into technical and non-functional requirements, facilitating workshops, and delivering clear artefacts and acceptance criteria across agile or hybrid delivery environments.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical and non-functional requirements.
• Deep technical experience with SAP.
• Experience with Salesforce, integration platforms, APIs or energy retail systems is highly regarded.
• Strong process mapping, data flow, integration and requirements traceability capability.
• Experience working across agile or hybrid technology delivery environments.
• Confidence facilitating workshops and influencing stakeholders across technical and business teams.
• Energy retail, utilities, electrification, EV or battery experience will be highly regarded.

• Support backlog refinement, testing, release readiness and operational handover.
• Identify and manage cross-system risks, issues and dependencies.

About the role

An exciting 6-month opportunity has become available for a Business Analyst to join our Product Operations team within our Electrification & Innovation portfolio.

You will support the discovery and definition of complex business and technical requirements across AGL’s Electrification & Innovation propositions, including EVs, batteries, Energy Smooth, Energy Balance and emerging initiatives. Acting as the bridge between Product, Technology and Operations, you will help shape solution options, clarify system impacts and ensure requirements are ready for delivery.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst looking to deepen their technical capability and contribute to customer-focused energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support discovery and translate business outcomes into clear functional, technical and non-functional requirements.

About you

You are an experienced Business Analyst who is comfortable navigating complex systems, ambiguous initiatives and competing priorities. You can communicate technical concepts clearly, build strong stakeholder relationships and proactively drive work from discovery through to implementation.

In addition to the above, you will demonstrate:

• Demonstrated experience in a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst role.
• Strong experience translating business needs into technical and non-functional requirements.
• Deep technical experience with SAP.
• Experience with Salesforce, integration platforms, APIs or energy retail systems are highly regarded.
• Strong process mapping, data flow, integration and requirements traceability capability.
