Job summary

Downer is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Perth-based Energy & Utilities team, leading the delivery of high-impact energy projects while driving operational performance, business growth, and client success.

You will oversee the operational, commercial and strategic performance of Downer's Energy projects across Western Australia, leading project teams, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring safe, profitable, high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline.
Significant leadership experience managing complex project portfolios.
Current Electrical Licence highly regarded, with Electrical Nominee and/or Electrical Management Representative qualifications preferred.
Strong client relationship management, business development and strategic growth capability.

Responsibilities

Lead the performance and delivery of a portfolio of energy projects and contracts
Develop and maintain strategic customer relationships while identifying new opportunities for growth
Drive commercial outcomes, P&L performance, risk management and project profitability
Champion Downer's Zero Harm culture through visible leadership and operational excellence
Mentor and develop high-performing teams while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
