Job summary

Downer Energy & Utilities seeks an Operations Manager to oversee the performance of Western Australia energy projects, leading teams, managing client relationships, and pursuing opportunities for growth. You will ensure safe, profitable delivery and high-quality outcomes across projects with senior leadership alignment.

You will collaborate with clients and project managers to drive sustainable growth, embed Zero Harm, and enhance a high-performance culture across the Utilities business.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant leadership experience managing complex project portfolios.
• Electrical Licence highly regarded; nominee/manager qualifications preferred.
• Strong client relationship management and strategic growth capability.
• Demonstrated P&L accountability and commercial management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the performance and delivery of a portfolio of energy projects and contracts.
• Develop and maintain strategic customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Drive commercial outcomes, P&L performance, risk management and profitability.
• Champion Zero Harm culture through leadership and operational excellence.
• Mentor and develop high-performing teams and foster continuous improvement.
