Costa Taco is seeking a passionate Cook / Kitchen Team Member to join our fast-casual kitchen in Byron Bay. You will follow documented processes to ensure fast, fresh and consistent service, executing our operational systems with pride in every plate.

We value attention to detail, teamwork and a positive attitude, with flexibility across lunch and dinner shifts. Previous kitchen experience is welcome but not required; reliability, initiative and a willingness to learn Costa Taco systems are key

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred.
• Must be able to follow documented procedures and recipes.
• Able to work across lunch and dinner shifts.
• Willingness to learn Costa Taco systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute operational systems and procedures to a high standard.
• Complete daily opening and closing procedures using checklists and logs.
• Assist with stocktake and prep list planning.
• Prepare food to Costa Taco standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen during shifts.
• Follow HACCP and food safety systems.
• Monitor and record food wastage.
• Support inventory and stock rotation.
• Contribute to smooth lunch and dinner service workflows.
• Complete shift reports and communicate variances.
