Job summary

The Star Sydney is seeking a hands-on Cook to join our busy culinary team in our award-winning Harvest Buffet environment. You will support the assigned section, assist with food preparation, and help maintain safety and hygiene standards.

This role offers opportunities to work with diverse cuisines in a high-volume setting, with mornings, evenings, weekends on a rotating roster. You will bring passion, creativity, and excellent communication to guests and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Currently completing a Certificate in Commercial Cookery (desirable).
• Experience in food preparation and high-volume settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the assigned section as directed by the Sous Chef.
• Assist with fundamental cooking and food preparation tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations.
• Complete all duties in line with hygiene requirements.
• Meet requirements for consistency and high quality in a fast-paced environment.
