Job summary

Guidera O'Connor Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our commercial team in Bibra Lake, WA. You will oversee end-to-end procurement and support material planning for our water projects, ensuring timely delivery and value.

You will work with project teams and suppliers, developing procurement strategies and negotiating contracts while maintaining ethical procurement practices and strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience and understanding of procurement principles.
• Solid analytical skills with good attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple demands and priorities.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and integrity in procurement practices.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams to plan for procurement of goods and services to meet project requirements.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process from planning to contract execution, including strategy development, bid evaluation, and negotiations.
• Provide strategies to manage supplier costs and delivery times and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Support purchasing activity including the issue of purchase orders as directed by project teams.
• Work with contract administrators to reflect Head Contract terms in supplier contracts where appropriate.
• Act as intermediary between engineering, commercial and external suppliers throughout procurement processes.
