Job summary

DP World Fremantle is seeking an experienced Empty Container Forklift Driver to join our Container Parks team. You will operate a Twinpick Empty Container Handler to move, stack and position empty shipping containers across the yard and load/unload containers from trucks.

This permanent full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm with overtime on weekdays and weekends. You will also record movements in the yard management system and adhere to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience operating an Empty Container Handler/Twinpick forklift in a container yard or depot.
• Current LF Forklift Licence.
• Strong understanding of safe container handling and yard operations.
• Ability to accurately record information in yard systems.
• Reliable and flexible with ability to work in a team.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Twinpick Empty Container Handler to move, position, stack and de-stack empty containers
• Load and unload containers from trucks and trailers, positioning them in correct yard locations
• Sort and position containers for repairs, cleaning, PTI, inspections and customer release
• Accurately record container numbers, movements and locations in the yard management system
• Complete pre-start equipment checks and report any mechanical or safety issues
• Follow yard safety procedures, traffic routes and exclusion zones with safe separation from pedestrians and other equipment

In this role, you will operate a Twinpick Empty Container Handler to safely move, stack and position empty shipping containers around the yard. You will also load and unload containers from trucks and trailers, positioning containers for repairs, cleaning, inspections, PTI and customer release.

This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm, with overtime opportunities available on weekdays and weekends.

• Accurately record container numbers, movements and locations in the yard management system

• Follow all yard safety procedures, traffic routes and exclusion zones, maintaining safe separation from pedestrians, trucks and other mobile equipment

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

• Previous experience operating an Empty Container Handler/Twinpick forklift in a container park, depot, terminal or similar environment
• Current and valid LF Forklift Licence
• Strong understanding of safe container handling and yard operations
• Ability to accurately record information and use yard management systems
• Reliable and flexible approach to work, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and following site procedures
