Job summary

DP World is looking for an experienced coordinator to facilitate operational requests from Shipping lines, Rail Customers, transport operators and Freight Forwarders in Melbourne Container Park. The role is on the afternoon shift and requires strong data-entry and liaison skills to minimise disruptions to depot operations.

The ideal candidate will have a current driver’s license, 3 years in a container park/logistics role, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license is required.
• Minimum of 3 years in a container park/logistics role.
• Experience with data-entry.
• Familiarity with 1-Stop and Transport Management Systems is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support gate, yard operations and centralised teams.
• Prepare documentation for yard operations.
• Liaise with customers and stakeholders for FCL and empty collections.
• Coordinate with shipping lines to execute job completion.
• Maintain data integrity for operational systems.
• Forecasting for daily operations.
• Manage reefer operations, including yard checks and planning.

Job Purpose

This role will be responsible for facilitating operational requests from the Shipping lines, Rail Customers, transport operators and Freight Forwarders in and out of Melbourne Container Park and ensure these are processed effectively to minimise disruption to depot operations.

Please note this role is on afternoon shift.

Key Accountabilities

• Support gate, yard operations & centralised teams
• Preparation of documentation for yard operations
• Liaising with customers and key stakeholders for FCL and empty collection requirements
• Liaise with terminals regarding operation requirements
• Liaise with shipping lines to execute job completion
• Ensure data integrity is maintained for all operational systems
• Coordinating with yard supervisor on equipment requests
• Ensure all plans are effective to minimise disruption to depot operations
• Confirm completion of Import/Export and Quarantine deliveries with Customers
• AQIS record keeping
• Manage any discrepancies from the previous day operations
• Forecasting for daily operations
• Manage reefer operations, including yard checks and planning

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Current drivers license
• 3 years industry experience in a container park/logistics related role
• Experience in data-entry
• Knowledge of 1-Stop and Transport Management Systems, desirable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
