Job summary

Love and Hope Support Services in Adelaide, SA, seeks a part-time Personal Support Worker to provide respectful daily living assistance, personal care, and community participation. The role is on-site with client homes and community settings.

You will document activities, follow safeguarding and NDIS standards, collaborate with families and professionals, and help participants build independence and wellbeing while supporting flexible shifts and local travel.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or in disability/community support roles with a person-centred approach.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build trust, compassion, and respect.
• Knowledge of safeguarding principles and NDIS practice standards.
• Clear communication, documentation, and collaboration with clients, families and colleagues.
• Ability to use basic digital systems for scheduling and record keeping.
• Relevant qualification in Individual Support or Disability is highly regarded.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport; willingness to travel within Adelaide area.
• Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or ability to obtain.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and respite shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily living tasks, personal care and household activities.
• Encourage independence and participation in community activities and appointments.
• Document support activities and progress in client records per policies.
• Collaborate with families and other professionals to meet care plans.
