Job summary

genU is seeking passionate and supportive Personal Support Workers in the Warrnambool area who are committed to empowering people with disability to live independently, build confidence, and achieve their goals.

As a Casual Personal Support Worker, you will provide personal care, domestic assistance, community access, and personal growth support in line with individual support plans, ensuring dignity, privacy, and choice for participants.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Community Services (Disability) or equivalent.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification must be valid.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check cleared prior to commencement.
• Working with Children Check completed or in progress.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and self-care support including hygiene, dressing, eating and meal preparation.
• Deliver light domestic assistance and support with daily living tasks.
• Facilitate community access including transport, shopping and outings.
• Support skill development and personal growth per support plans.
• Maintain privacy, empowerment and choice through strengths-based practice.
