Job summary

genU is looking for Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential, making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

You will support person-centred plans and assist with daily living skills, medication administration, and behaviour support, while handling administration duties in a respectful, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans.
• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities.
• Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity.
• Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration.
• Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience.
• Must be able to transport customers in a company van.
• A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).

Responsibilities

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and work to achieve them.
• Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration.
• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
• Administration duties and mandatory reporting
