Job summary

Redfield College in Dural, NSW, invites applications for a Secondary Diverse Learning Teacher in a permanent full-time capacity commencing Term 1, 2027. The role collaborates with the Diverse Learning Coordinator to support secondary students with additional learning needs in a caring and inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities include developing IEPs, training teachers to implement them, delivering numeracy and literacy interventions, and liaising with parents and external specialists.

Qualifications

• Requires secondary education qualification and current NESA accreditation.
• Special education qualification or demonstrated experience preferred.
• Experience developing and evaluating IEPs and supporting teachers to implement them.
• Experience supporting students in Years 11 and 12 with learning difficulties.
• Understanding of curriculum differentiation and ability to conduct standardised testing.”
• Ability to use data to monitor progress and improve learning support provisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) with teachers and students.
• Train teachers to implement IEPs and differentiate activities and assessments.
• Deliver numeracy and literacy interventions with classroom teachers.
• Collaborate with parents, mentors and external specialists to support students with additional learning needs.
• Assist with data collection, management and reporting for students with disability.
• Support disability provisions during assessments and examinations.
• Attend staff development days and school functions as required.
