Life Without Barriers is seeking a Home & Community Assistant to support Queensland Community Support Scheme clients in their own homes on the Sunshine Coast. This permanent part-time role operates between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, with travel between Nambour and Golden Beach and surrounding areas.

A driver’s licence and reliable vehicle are required, and kilometre reimbursement applies. You will help clients maintain independence, assist with daily living activities, and build meaningful

Qualifikationen

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing Support or similar.
• Australian Driver’s Licence with reliable vehicle
• First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organisational and hygiene practices

Aufgaben

• Domestic assistance such as light house cleaning and meal preparation
• Personal care including showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and wellbeing
• Skill development and social support
• Community access to appointments, social events and shopping
• Promote independence according to individual needs and goals
• Establish a rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and their families
