Wilderness Way is seeking a Residential Support Worker to help transform the lives of children in care. You will build trusting relationships, create a safe home, and support education, health, and wellbeing while fostering independence and resilience.

The role offers growth potential, with opportunities at Senior Residential Support Worker level. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and a passion for helping children are essential, along with a willingness to work within safeguarding

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
• Positive and resilient approach.
• Strong communication skills and genuine passion for helping children.
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 qualification if not held.
• Be 21 or over due to requirements in children's residential care.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not offered.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable driving for activities with children.

Responsabilités

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing home environment.
• Support children with education, health and wellbeing.
• Encourage independence, confidence and resilience.
• Help children access new experiences and opportunities.
• Support children to express their wishes, feelings and aspirations.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with Managers, Therapists, Outdoor Specialists and MDTs to help children achieve positive outcomes.
