Job summary

Wilderness Way in New South Wales seeks a Senior Psychotherapist to lead our Clinical Team, deliver trauma‑informed therapy, and supervise staff across residential services.

You will manage a small caseload, mentor peers, and contribute to training while driving service improvement and safeguarding excellence. A Masters‑level qualification and registration with relevant bodies are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working with children and young people, ideally looked-after.
• Strong grounding in trauma-informed approaches.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and risk assessment.
• Clear communicator with flexibility in working arrangements.

• Lead, support and inspire our Clinical Team, ensuring high‑quality, evidence‑based therapeutic care.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 5+ years working with children and young people, ideally those who are looked‑after. Strong grounding in trauma‑informed approaches.

Skills: Excellent safeguarding knowledge, confident in risk assessment, and well‑versed in therapeutic frameworks. Clear communicator and able to work flexibly.

Qualifications: Masters‑level therapy qualification and registration with BACP / UKCP / HCPC.
