Job summary

Challenge Employment & Training in Ipswich is recruiting for a part-time lead role to support people facing barriers to employment. You will work within a person-centred model, linking clients to services, helping transitions and providing practical job search assistance.

The role focuses on arranging pathways to employment or training, including direct work, Skilling Queenslanders for Work programs, and preparation activities, with regular reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with diverse barriers to employment.
• Ability to coordinate services and transitions for participants.
• Strong communication and data handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Case manage participants from referral to successful outcome, including three-month post-program support.
• Identify and facilitate best employment/training pathways for clients.
• Assist participants to obtain IDs and other documents to enable pathways.
• Engage with support agencies to maximise available employment preparation supports.
• Coordinate with referring agencies to ensure smooth transitions.
• Represent Challenge Employment & Training at stakeholder meetings.
