Job summary

Workskil Australia in Darwin is seeking a Ready to Work Employment Mentor to deliver intensive case management, mentoring, and employment support to participants in the Ready to Work program. You will work with individuals with a history of incarceration to identify, prepare for, and secure meaningful employment in the Northern Territory.

The role focuses on trauma-informed, culturally competent services, pre- and post-release programs, building relations with employers and community

Qualifications

• Experience in employment or community services is essential.
• Certificate IV in Employment, Career Development, or Community Services preferred or willing to obtain.
• Ability to travel across the Northern Territory and hold a current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver trauma informed case management, mentoring, and employment support pre- and post-release.
• Run pre-employment and work readiness programs in NT prisons.
• Provide post-release support to improve employability and reduce reoffending.
• Build relationships with employers, RTOs, Corrections, and community organisations.
• Promote the Ready to Work program and achieve KPIs.
