Job summary

Workskil Australia is seeking an Employment Coach to join our Cannington team in Western Australia. This full-time fixed-term role ends January 2027 and includes training with a pathway to a Certificate IV in Community Services.

You will coach customers, help them prepare resumes and cover letters, find suitable job opportunities, and refer them to housing, mental health and financial counselling support while recording progress in Government systems.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIs.
• Strong administration skills and IT literacy, including data entry, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Assisting diverse customers in overcoming personal and professional challenges.
• Delivering coaching to improve employability skills, confidence and career planning.
• Preparing quality resumes, cover letters and supporting the job application process.
• Finding suitable employment opportunities for customers and advocating on their behalf.
• Referring customers to internal and external support for housing, mental health and financial counselling.
• Providing additional mentoring and support during the first six months of employment.
• Documenting customer information and progress accurately within Workskil Australia and Government systems.
