Job summary

Workskil Australia is seeking an Employment Coach for a full-time ongoing role based at our Prahran site. You will help diverse customers set and achieve personal employment goals, deliver coaching to improve employability, and assist with resumes, cover letters and job applications.

You’ll be supported by a team of coaches and counsellors, receive comprehensive training, and have the opportunity to complete a Certificate IV in Community Services after probation.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIs.
• Strong administration skills and IT literacy, including data entry, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Assisting diverse customers in overcoming personal and professional challenges
• Delivering coaching to improve employability skills, confidence and career planning
• Preparing quality resumes, cover letters and supporting the job application process
• Finding suitable employment opportunities for customers and advocating on their behalf
• Referring customers to internal and external support for housing, mental health and financial counselling
• Providing additional mentoring and support during the first six months of employment
• Documenting customer information and progress accurately within Workskil Australia and Government systems
