Job summary

Workskil Australia is seeking an Employment Coach for a full-time ongoing role at our Mount Barker site. You will support customers to set and achieve goals, deliver coaching to improve employability, and help with job applications and referrals to housing, mental health and financial counselling.

You’ll be part of a supportive team, with comprehensive training and potential to gain a Certificate IV in Community Services after probation.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to achieve individual targets and KPIs.
• Strong administration skills and IT literacy (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
• Previous experience in employment services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in overcoming personal and professional challenges.
• Deliver coaching to improve employability and career planning.
• Prepare resumes, cover letters, and job applications.
• Find suitable employment opportunities and advocate for customers.
• Refer customers to housing, mental health and financial counselling.
• Document progress in Workskil systems.
• Provide mentoring during first six months.
