You will operate with autonomy, bring specialist expertise to investigations, policy development and governance, and collaborate with senior leaders to drive fair outcomes.
The role supports hybrid work arrangements with a mix of office presence and remote work, and offers flexibility in hours.
This is not your average HR role. At Anglicare Victoria, the work we do supporting children, young people and families brings unique workplace complexities, requiring sound judgement, a strong understanding of employment legislation and the ability to navigate sensitive matters with care.
As our Employee Relations Lead, you will bring specialist expertise to complex workplace investigations, employment matters, legislative interpretation and policy development. Working closely with the HR Manager, HR Business Partners and senior leaders, providing trusted advice, representing Anglicare Victoria in external employment matters where required, and strengthening our internal capability.
This is a newly established role with the autonomy to shape how the work is done. You can help build consistent employee relations frameworks across our divisions, strengthen governance and ensure our policies and practices keep pace with legislative change.
You’ll bring the expertise to work through complex issues independently, the communication skills to influence and appropriately challenge, and the judgement to balance organisational risk with fairness and care for people.
If you’re an experienced HR professional who thrives on complexity, takes pride in getting the detail right and wants to influence how employee relations is managed across an organisation, we’d like to hear from you.
When writing your cover letter think about highlighting your experience in a complex, multi-site environment, talk about your investigations, policy development and knowledge of employment legislation. Experience in the not-for-profit or community services sector would be particularly valuable. Tell us about your experience navigating complex employee matters, your approach to fair and defensible outcomes, and how you have translated legislation and policy into better workplace practice.
