Job summary

Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL) is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Case Manager to join our People, Culture and Engagement team and help deliver fair outcomes across a diverse, purpose-driven organisation based in Melbourne.

Reporting to the Workplace Relations Lead, you will manage complex employee relations matters, lead investigations, provide practical advice to leaders, and help ensure compliant, respectful workplaces.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex employee relations matters (conduct, performance, grievance).
• Strong investigation, interviewing and reporting skills.
• Solid knowledge of Australian employment law and IR frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex employee relations matters, including conduct, performance and grievance issues.
• Lead workplace investigations and prepare clear, well reasoned findings and recommendations.
• Provide practical, risk-based advice to leaders and stakeholders.
• Support management of external claims, disputes and regulatory matters.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, instruments and organisational policies.
• Identify trends to inform proactive people initiatives and build leadership capability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of workplace relations practices, policies and processes.
