Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking an experienced Case Resolution Lead to oversee the resolution of complex employee relations matters and to lead a team of Case Advisors, providing practical, risk-aware ER guidance across performance, conduct, grievances and complaints.

You will partner with operational leaders and People & Culture stakeholders to deliver fair, timely outcomes in alignment with policy, legislation and organisational values, while coaching a high-performing, trauma-informed

Qualifications

• Probity checks as per policy and legislation.
• Tertiary qualification in HR, IR, Law or related field.
• Experience handling complex ER matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary matters and serious grievances.
• Provide guidance, coaching and QA to Case Advisors managing day-to-day ER matters.
• Ensure matters are managed consistently, fairly and in line with procedural fairness principles, legislation and organisational policy.
• Support trauma-informed case management practices across the team.
• Prioritise high-risk matters, including cases involving psychosocial risk or employees on paid suspension.
• Prepare documentation and support representation in conciliations and external forums including the Fair Work Commission.
• Partner closely with leaders, Workforce Partnering, Workforce Relations Counsel, unions and other stakeholders to support effective case outcomes.
• Monitor case progression, maintain accurate records and support compliance with case management frameworks and reporting requirements.
• Identify trends and provide insights to support continuous improvement of ER systems, processes and practices.
• Lead, coach and develop team members to foster a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
