Job summary

Greencross Pet Wellness Company in North Ryde is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our People Hub. You will provide expert advice across Retail, Veterinary and Support Office operations, manage investigations, and help ensure policy compliance and fair process.

The role balances legal rigour with pragmatic, values-led guidance, working across a national network to support leaders and teams with complex ER matters and workforce changes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Organisational Psychology or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive Employee Relations Advisor experience across multi-site environments.
• Proven ability to influence outcomes in a matrixed organisation and work with specialist teams.
• Experience in retail, healthcare or FMCG dispersed environments is highly regarded.
• Strong written communication and executive presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality employment relations advice and support to leaders across all business divisions.
• Act as a primary contact for enquiries through the Employment Relations Advisory Centre.
• Provide guidance on performance management, misconduct, grievances, bullying and harassment, award interpretation and termination of employment.
• Manage case portfolio and conduct workplace investigations with reports and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
• Support compliance activities and employment relations training programs.
• Create and maintain leader resources, templates and guidance material.
• Keep current with legislative developments and employment relations trends.
• Support Fair Work Commission matters, research and industrial relations projects.
• Ensure advice aligns with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Awards and organisational policies.

Job Description

Based in our North Ryde Support Office, we are seeking an experienced, Employee Relations Advisor to join our People Hub team

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager of Employee Relations, responsible for providing expert employment relations advice, guidance and support to leaders and team members across Greencross, including Retail, Veterinary, Support Office and Supply Chain operations. Operating within the Employment Relations People hub, the role manages employment relations cases, workplace investigations, grievances, misconduct matters, policy interpretation and workplace compliance matters.

This role is ideal for an experienced Employment Relations Advisor who can balance legal rigour with practical, values-aligned and commercially pragmatic advice.

What you will do

Employment Relations Advisory Services:

• Provide high-quality employment relations advice and support to leaders across all business divisions.
• Act as a primary contact for employment relations enquiries received through the Employment Relations Advisory Centre.
• Provide guidance on performance management, misconduct, grievances, bullying and harassment, award interpretation and termination of employment.

Case Management & Workplace Investigations

• Manage a diverse portfolio of employment relations matters from enquiry through to resolution.
• Conduct workplace investigations and prepare investigation reports and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.

Compliance, Education & Capability Building

• Support compliance activities and employment relations training programs.
• Create and maintain leader resources, templates and guidance material.
• Keep current with legislative developments and employment relations trends.

Industrial Relations Support

• Support Fair Work Commission matters, research and industrial relations projects.

Risk, Compliance & Employment Law

• Ensure advice aligns with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Awards and organisational policies.

Qualifications

You will have

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Organisational Psychology or a related discipline;
• 5+ years of progressive Employee Relations Advisor experience, including experiencing supporting teams from a retail, clinical or FMCG multi-site environment.
• Proven ability to influence outcomes in a matrixed model and deliver through specialist teams in a unified and collaborative way of working.
• Experience working in a large, complex, multi-site or operational organisation; retail, healthcare, consumer or similarly dispersed environments are highly regarded.
• High-quality written communication and executive presentation skills.
