Job summary

RUSH is seeking an experienced ER/IR professional to join the Brisbane team as an Industrial Advocates Advisor. You will manage live workplace disputes and support members through unfair dismissal, general protections, and pay-related issues.

You will run your own caseload from first contact to resolution, advise on disciplinary processes, underpayments and termination, and apply the Fair Work Act and awards to real situations, while collaborating with in-house lawyers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in employee relations, IR or ER-focused HR (consultancy, employer association or in-house)
• Solid working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and awards
• Exposure to Fair Work Commission matters a plus

Are you an experienced industrial relations, employee relations or HR practitioner who wants to run real matters rather than manage process? At RUSH, our Industrial Advocates run live workplace disputes for members every day: unfair dismissal, general protections, disciplinary and misconduct matters, pay and classification disputes, and workplace bullying claims.

We're looking for a ER Advisor to join the team in Brisbane, take on our more complex matters and help lift the standard of the team around you.

What you'll do

Run your own caseload from first contact to resolution

Advise members on disciplinary processes, performance management, underpayments and termination

Apply the Fair Work Act, modern awards and enterprise agreements to real situations

Prepare correspondence and Fair Work Commission material, and represent members in conciliations

Work alongside our in-house employment lawyers on matters that elevate

What we're looking for

3 or more years in employee relations, IR or ER-focused HR (consultancy, employer association or in-house all welcome)

Solid working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and awards

Some exposure to Fair Work Commission matters, whether running them or supporting them

Clear writing, sound judgement and the confidence to put a position to an employer
