Job summary

Uniting AgeWell is seeking compassionate Home Care Workers and Domestic Support staff to help older adults live independently at home across Victoria and Tasmania. Roles available include qualified and unqualified part-time positions with flexible daytime hours across a broad network.

You will perform household tasks, meals, cleaning, social support, and transportation as required, ensuring safety, dignity and person-centered care for clients in Cranbourne and surrounding communities.

Qualifications

• Must have Cert III Individual Support and Cert IV Ageing Support (or equivalent).
• At least 6 months experience as community support worker (aged care preferred) or 6 months professional experience as a residential cleaner.
• Availability of at least three weekdays per week during daytime hours.
• Minimum commitment of 20 hours per fortnight.

Responsibilities

• Perform household tasks to maintain a safe, tidy space (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry).
• Prepare meals and assist with grocery shopping.
• Clean kitchens, bathrooms and shared living spaces.
• Provide social support and transport to appointments and activities.
• Monitor client wellbeing and report concerns promptly.
• Respect client preferences, cultural background and values.
