Job summary

Echuca Regional Health is seeking an Emergency Medicine Senior Medical Officer to join our sub-regional Emergency Department. The role offers flexible FTE (2-4 days per week) with options for full-time or part-time ongoing employment.

Join a collaborative, teaching-focused department supported by Interns, HMOs, ACEM Registrars, Rural Generalists and FACEMs. Opportunity to lead, supervise, and contribute to governance and policy development in a growing regional centre.

Qualifications

• General or Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
• Significant experience in emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

• Providing services within scope of clinical practice to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Supervise and support Doctors in Training (DiTs), including ACEM registrars consistent with their level of training and individual learning needs
• Lead/participate in the development of relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.
• Provide clear and positive leadership to staff 'on the floor'
• Participating in on-call roster for the hospital and providing support

Exciting opportunities are now available at Echuca Regional Health for high calibre applicants for the role of Senior Medical Officer - Emergency Medicine within a growing sub-regional Emergency Department.

This is an ongoing position with flexible FTE (2-4 days per week) in an Emergency Department supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team with medical staffing that includes Interns, HMOs, ACEM Registrar trainees, Rural Generalists and FACEMs. The department offers a collaborative, patient-centred culture with ongoing commitment to education and training.
