Job summary

Auburn Hospital, part of WSLHD, is seeking a JMO Trainee Stage 2-4 for Emergency Medicine. The role involves delivering clinical care under supervision to both adult and paediatric patients in a busy ED. The position is temporary and part-time with a 19 hour per week schedule.

The incumbent is expected to supervise and teach Junior Medical Officers and Medical Students, participate in research where appropriate, and support a 24-hour shift roster within the network facilities.

Qualifications

  • Must be MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate category.
  • Must have completed at least four postgraduate years training including a minimum 12 months full time Emergency Medicine experience in an Australian Public Hospital or equivalent (not as an Observer).
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Australian College of Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care, under supervision, to patients requiring emergency medical services in a complex clinical environment for both adults and paediatric patients.
