Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a JMO Trainee Stage 2-4 in Emergency Medicine for Auburn Hospital, working 19 hours per week in a temporary part-time capacity. This role focuses on delivering clinical care under supervision in a busy ED environment for adult and paediatric patients.

The Advanced Trainee will teach Junior Medical Officers and Medical Students, participate in research where appropriate, and develop autonomous practice suited to experience level within the network.

Qualifications

  • MBBS or equivalent with registration eligibility in Australia
  • Minimum four postgraduate years training including 12 months EM experience
  • Registration or eligibility with Australian College of Emergency Medicine
  • Able to work independently under supervision in a complex ED
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and manage priorities
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care in emergency department under supervision
  • Experience with both adult and paediatric patients in a critical care setting
  • TeachJunior Medical Officers and Medical Students
  • Engage in research where appropriate

Education

MBBS or equivalent
Postgraduate training (4 years)
Emergency Medicine registration eligible
