Job summary

NSW Health invites applications for Trainee Stage 2–4 in Emergency Medicine at Port Macquarie. You will provide high-quality medical care under supervision to undifferentiated ED patients, lead admission decisions and coordinate care with a broad team.

Applicants must hold MBBS or equivalent and be eligible for Medical Board of Australia registration, with at least three years postgraduate experience, including 12 months in Training Stage 1. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent and current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Minimum three years postgraduate experience, including 12 months Training Stage 1.
• Ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Lead admission, assessment, management and discharge planning for patients.
• Communicate assessment and management decisions to staff and families.
• Coordinate diagnostic tests and consultations with specialists.
• Arrange discharge processes and liaise with community care options.
