Job summary

St John of God Warrnambool Hospital is seeking an experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to lead the perioperative preadmission and day stay services on a permanent part-time basis. You will provide clinical leadership, support theatre operations, and work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

This role requires current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with perioperative experience and previous senior nursing or ANUM exposure.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and perioperative experience.
• Previous leadership or ANUM/senior nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to preadmission and day stay teams.
• Coordinate theatre operations, patient flow and staffing.
• Support Nurse Unit Manager and perioperative leadership in governance and safety.
• Mentor and supervise nursing staff and students; assist with competency development.
• Contribute to quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
