Job summary

NSW Health in Blacktown Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a permanent full-time position in the fast-paced Emergency Department. You will provide expert emergency nursing care, manage complex clinical situations, and contribute to positive patient outcomes within a dynamic multidisciplinary team.

The role requires current AHPRA RN registration, a commitment to ongoing education, and the ability to work collaboratively while also taking initiative in a busy ED environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to create positive relationships with patients, carers and loved ones to achieve patient empowerment, information sharing and confidence in nursing staff.
• Demonstrated extensive and recent emergency nursing skills and experience
• Proven ability to work independently with initiative, as well as collaboratively and respectfully within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proven commitment to continuing professional development.
• Demonstrate critical thinking abilities, prioritisation and communication skills, whilst effectively following directions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective and evidence-based nursing care to patients with a broad range of acute and complex healthcare needs.
