Job summary

NSW Health’s Westmead Hospital Emergency Department is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced, tertiary ED. This permanent, full-time role offers exposure to diverse presentations and a supportive multidisciplinary team within a major hospital setting.

You will assess and plan care for patients, collaborate with doctors and allied health staff, and contribute to evidence-based practice while ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Recent relevant clinical experience in an emergency/acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, culturally appropriate care to ED patients.
• Assess patient needs and develop care plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Document clinical progress and referrals.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers and staff to coordinate care.
• Support development of enrolled nurses and junior staff.
