Job summary

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department on a permanent full-time or part-time basis (minimum 0.5 FTE). The new ED opened in 2026 and offers a state-of-the-art facility with 59 beds, including 52 adult and 7 paediatric beds.

You will deliver patient-centred care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and contributing to quality improvement and education of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in an emergency department or acute care setting preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development.
