Job summary

Mater Hospital Springfield in Queensland is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department on a permanent full-time or part-time basis (minimum 0.5 FTE). The state-of-the-art ED opened in 2026 with 59 beds (52 adults, 7 paediatric).

You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a skilled multidisciplinary team and contributing to safety and quality initiatives while enjoying not-for-profit salary packaging and staff

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA RN registration.
• Clinical experience in an acute care setting, ED preferred.
• Strong assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and patient-focused approach.
• Commitment to a 24/7 rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to acute patients.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Advocate for patients' physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and confidentiality.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Support education and mentoring of junior staff.
