Western Sydney Local Health District invites applications for a Clinical Nurse Educator at Mount Druitt Hospital. The role focuses on strengthening nursing practice and delivering high-quality, patient-centred education in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.

You will develop and lead education programs, mentor staff from orientation through ongoing competency development, and collaborate with nurse managers and educators to meet learning needs and implement evidence-based strategies.

Formación

• Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and/or post registration qualification in nursing education/education role.
• Ability to lead and implement change within best practice clinical care and workplace culture.
• Design, implement and evaluate ward-level clinical education and provide guidance to ensure a skilled workforce.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and currency of practice.
• Collaborative and integrated multidisciplinary teamwork to improve service delivery.
• Proficient with relevant computer/database tools.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs (orientation, induction, mandatory training, ongoing development).
• Mentor nursing staff to achieve clinical competencies and deliver safe care.
• Facilitate bedside teaching using adult learning principles and current clinical knowledge.
• Partner with nurse managers, educators and clinicians to identify learning needs and implement strategies.
• Promote quality improvement and maintain education records and learning outcomes.
