Job summary

BUSHkids is seeking a Social Worker in Emerald to join a transdisciplinary team focused on early intervention and family-centred care. The role offers either part-time or full-time hours, with a strong emphasis on improving outcomes for regional children across Queensland.

You will assess, intervene, advocate and connect families to local services, while collaborating with other professionals to support caregivers and children within a culturally safe framework.

Qualifications

• Social Work degree and AASW eligibility.
• Experience with children with developmental delay or disability, focus on early intervention and family-centred practice.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills for client care and collaboration.
• Willingness to ongoing professional development and knowledge sharing.
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality social work services to enhance child development and well-being.
• Conduct assessments, interventions, advocacy and care coordination.
• Support families and caregivers through capacity building and referrals to services.
• Contribute to culturally safe practice within a transdisciplinary team around the child.
