Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking an Engineer - Software to contribute to avionics, sensors, data communications, and embedded software for Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS). You will work on design, implementation, verification, and support under supervision in a collaborative project team.

Responsibilities span requirements analysis, coding, testing, issue resolution, and documentation. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for cross-functional work in a defence-oriented

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics or related technical discipline and 2+ years experience in design, implementation, test and in-service support of electronic/software products.
Proficient in C++ and C#/.NET; comfortable with Windows and Linux environments.
Experience with GUI development and writing unit tests.
Familiar with version control (Git), issue tracking, and basic CI/CD practices.
Strong written and verbal communication; able to manage multiple tasks and meet schedules.
Logical, systematic problem-solving and applying engineering standards.

Responsibilities

Perform requirements analysis and decomposition for assigned features or subsystems, translating requirements into component-level specifications and testable tasks.
Develop, unit-test, and debug software and embedded solutions; follow coding standards and CM practices.
Support analysis and resolution of customer issues for existing fielded products; provide defect reports and remediation plans.
Conduct trade studies and prepare system interface definitions, verification and acceptance plans.
Design and develop software as part of a cross-functional team; follow design patterns and reuse strategies.
Plan system integration, laboratory and field tests; execute test cases and document results.
Create and maintain technical deliverables such as design notes, test procedures, and build/deploy scripts.
