Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia in Brisbane is seeking a Software Engineer (Embedded Systems) to join the MQ-28 program. You will contribute to design, development, integration and testing of software and firmware for MQ-28 Mission Systems, reporting to the Hardware and Firmware Manager.

The role involves end-to-end lifecycle activities, MBSE support, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to meet safety and regulation standards in a defence context.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with MBSE, modelling and systems engineering activities.
• Knowledge of mission systems, data exchange and protocols.
• Experience with DF Defence software development standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, test, and maintenance of software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle per standards.
• Translate customer requirements into initial software design.
• Use MBSE to support architectures, requirements, models and interfaces.
• Assist debugging and resolve issues to ensure reliable software products.
• Support adoption of new technologies, tools and regulatory changes.
