Job summary

Amazon LEO is building a satellite-based broadband system. We seek an embedded software engineer to craft software for Customer Terminal devices, contributing to all SDLC stages. You’ll work with C/C++, Rust, Python, and Linux/RTOS in a fast-paced team environment.

Join the Amazon LEO Customer Terminal Software Team to design, develop, test, and deploy embedded software across devices, collaborating with hardware, product, and operations teams. Strong fundamentals and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software language.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for Customer Terminal devices within the Amazon LEO system.
• Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, code, test, and code/test coverage.
• Developing embedded software in C, C++, Rust, Python or other languages.
• Have experience with real-time embedded software philosophies and practices.
• Review schematics, logic analyzer, and embedded software trouble-shooting techniques.
