Job summary

North Queensland Domestic Violence Resource Service (DVNQ) in Townsville is seeking an experienced Response Team Leader – Embedded to guide DFV outreach programs across key partnerships. You will provide leadership, oversight and practice guidance to practitioners supporting victim-survivors.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Human Services or related field, or extensive equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years' experience in domestic and family violence or related human services.
• Proven leadership, staff supervision and coaching experience.
• Knowledge of the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012, Child Protection Act 1999, and information sharing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, mentor and support a team of embedded DFV practitioners.
• Oversee trauma-informed, client-centred service delivery focusing on safety and empowerment.
• Manage staffing, rostering, performance development and supervision.
• Ensure compliance with legislative, contractual, accreditation and organisational requirements.
• Build and maintain partnerships with key agencies and stakeholders for integrated responses.
• Lead continuous improvement, practice development, policy reviews, reporting and quality assurance.
• Coordinate responses for high-risk clients and oversee information sharing per legislation.
• Contribute to strategic planning, service development and new partnership opportunities.
• Represent the organisation professionally across service systems and community forums.
