Job summary

Allianz Australia is seeking an Eligibility Specialist to determine accurate and timely eligibility for mental health claims, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and stakeholder communication.

The role is Sydney/Charlestown based with hybrid work options and on-going training to develop technical and professional expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience in workers' compensation claims and/or legal/employee relations.
• Strong attention to detail and thorough written and verbal communication.
• Ability to analyse complex information and make data-driven, compliant decisions.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation governing eligibility and claims.
• Interest in leveraging emerging technologies to improve processes.
• Willingness to participate in training and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate eligibility reviews and decisions for mental health claims within required timeframes.
• Improve decision quality, communication, and compliance with legal/regulatory requirements.

The primary purpose of the Eligibility Specialist role is to ensure accurate and timely eligibility determinations for mental health claims, while maintaining clear and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders and adhering to applicable regulations and guidelines.

We have roles available in Sydney and Charlestown.

About the role

• Deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely eligibility reviews and decisions while ensuring compliance with legislated timeframes, privacy standards, and Allianz guidelines.
• Enhance decision-making quality, written communication, and adherence to legal requirements to improve the sustainability of adverse decisions and reduce unnecessary claims investigations.
• Uphold data integrity and professionalism in all communications, while identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and support tools.
• Continuously develop technical and professional expertise through on-the-job training and relevant courses.

About you

• Strong technical Workers Compensation experience and/or strong legal/Employee relations experience
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyse and evaluate complex information to make sound, data-driven decisions while ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation.
• A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
