Job summary

Tweed Shire Council in NSW is seeking an Operations Coordinator - Electrotechnology to lead delivery, maintenance and optimisation of water and wastewater electrotechnology infrastructure. Operations Coordinator - Electrotechnology

Lead the delivery, maintenance and optimisation of Council’s critical Water and Wastewater electrotechnology infrastructure and electrical assets. This key leadership role combines technical expertise, contractor and resource management, and operational oversight to ensure safe, reliable and customer-focused service delivery across maintenance programs, capital works and emergency response activities.

About the role:

• Lead high-performing Electrical and Electronic Technician teams supporting critical Council infrastructure.
• Coordinate maintenance, projects, contractors and emergency response activities across Water and Wastewater assets.
• Drive safe, reliable and efficient service delivery through strong operational leadership and planning.
• Champion team development, workplace safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise and stakeholder support to optimise asset performance and service outcomes.

• a base salary ranging from $102,118 per annum with competency-based increments up to $117,528 per annum, plus 12% super
• 76 hour, 9 day fortnight

This position is based in Chinderah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.

• Do you hold a Trade Certificate III in Electrotechnology and are you eligible to obtain a NSW Electrical Contractors Licence? Provide detailed answers outlining your relevant qualifications and experience.
• Describe your experience leading and developing teams, including staff performance management, mentoring and resource coordination.
• What experience do you have maintaining and operating industrial electrical systems, particularly within water and wastewater infrastructure, pumping systems, instrumentation and control technologies?
• How have you applied Australian Standards, electrical compliance requirements and workplace health and safety practices in your previous roles?
• Provide an example of a complex electrical fault or plant breakdown you have resolved, including your use of asset or maintenance management systems to support service delivery.
• Do you hold a current Drivers Licence - car?
