Job summary

Micro Connect on the Sunshine Coast in Kunda Park is seeking a hands-on electronics workshop contributor. You will assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronics, working with through-hole soldering and a low-volume Pick & Place line with full training.

The role offers a modern, air-conditioned workshop with on-site parking and flexible hours to suit the Coast lifestyle. Strong soldering and PCB assembly skills are essential, along with proficiency with inventory systems.

• Receive, pack, and dispatch components, manage inventory using internal systems.

We are seeking a reliable, technically minded individual to join our team in a hands-on workshop role. Enjoy working in a modern, fully air-conditioned environment with on-premise parking. Key Responsibilities

• Assembly & Automated Testing: Perform product assembly, through-hole soldering, and run automated testing routines to ensure top product quality.
• SMT Production & Operations: Learn to set up and operate our low-volume Pick & Place line (full training provided).
• Troubleshooting & Rework: Perform basic electronic diagnostics and light surface-mount (SMD) component rework.
• Packing, Receiving & Logistics: Receive incoming components and stock, efficiently pack outgoing orders, manage dispatches, and maintain inventory accuracy using our easy-to-follow manuals and internal systems.

What We Are Looking For

• Practical Electronics & Assembly Experience: Strong hands-on experience with PCB assembly, component identification, and precision soldering is essential.
• High Computer Literacy: Very proficient with computers and quick to navigate custom software and inventory systems.
• Adaptable & Technical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the flexibility to switch between different hands-on assembly, testing, and workshop tasks throughout the day.
• Eagerness to Learn: Willingness to learn and follow structured SOPs.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Package Rate: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour + 12% Superannuation (practical experience, with performance review increases available)
