Job summary

AGL Energy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex mining and power-generation projects. You will build productive relationships, manage scope, schedule, cost and risks, and influence a wide range of stakeholders to deliver safe, practical outcomes.

Qualifications

Engineering degree or equivalent trade qualification in electrical, mechanical or civil discipline.
Proven project management experience in mining, heavy industry or complex operational environment.
Strong technical, interpersonal and influencing skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
PMP certification or equivalent is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes on time and within approved budgets.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, procurement and resource requirements.
Define project objectives, scope and deliverables.
Monitor project performance, identify emerging risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
Communicate project status, risks and decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
Build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders to support project outcomes.
Coordinate inputs from engineering, operations, commercial and contractors; translate complex information into clear decisions.
Prepare and present project investment cases and governance submissions.
Ensure governance, safety standards and project methodologies are followed.
Identify and implement improvements to project management systems and processes.
