Service Stream is hiring an Electrician to join the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Projects Team for the Graham Farmer Freeway Maintenance in Perth, Western Australia. This permanent full-time position operates on a day/night rotating schedule with occasional night loading.

The role focuses on commissioning, testing and handover of ITS and electrical systems, adherence to drawings and safety standards, and collaboration with clients and inspectors on-site.

Formación

• Electrical trade qualification and current electrical licence.
• White Card and valid Driver’s Licence.

Responsabilidades

• Follow drawings, specs, and standards for all works.
• Promote and enforce safety culture and WHS compliance.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
• Review SWMS and risk assessments.
• Monitor progress and report productivity, delays, and issues to Construction Manager.
• Ensure QA through inspections, testing and verification of works.
• Assist with planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Liaise with clients and on-site stakeholders.

We are hiringan Electrician to join our Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Projects Team. This permanent full-time role will support the performance work as a part of the Graham Farmer Freeway Maintenance. This role will be on a day/night rotating basis with night-loading available.

About the role

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with WHS requirements
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety audits
• Review and implement Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and risk assessments
• Monitor work progress and report on productivity, delays, and issues to the Construction Manager
• Ensure quality control through inspections, testing, and verification of completed works
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Liaise with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders on-site as required
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets, and material usage
• Support commissioning, testing, and handover of ITS and electrical systems
• There will be a requirement to undertake Night Works as required, for periodic shutdown events every 2 months

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Support commissioning, testing, and handover of ITS and electrical systems
• Experience in electrical works, ITS or infrastructure projects
• Installation and maintenance of electrical and ITS assets, including traffic signals, CCTV, VMS and communications systems
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Sound knowledge of construction, safety and quality requirements
• Electrical Trade Qualification, current Electrical Licence, White Card and Driver’s Licence
• Traffic control and/or road authority tickets desirable
• Strong technical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective communication, teamwork and time management abilities
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and attention to detail
• Electrical Trade Qualification, Current Electrical Licence, Construction Industry White Card & Current Driver’s Licence
• High Risk Licence, EWP, Traffic control and/or road authority tickets desirable
